I opened my first coffee shop in 1996 with a mission to provide the very best coffee and tea and the very best customer service in our market. By 2010 my team had accumulated multiple awards for product quality, customer service, and building design. We were especially proud to win the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) TOPS award 5 consecutive years for “retailing excellence.” This award was given annually to 25 coffee shops world-wide. After selling the business in 2010 I went into a short retirement. I had an idea for a new type of coffee shop but I needed a catalyst to get me off my butt. That catalyst was my sister. Inspired by my late sister Lori, whose kindness always embraced family and friends, Bondadoso, Spanish for “kind”, embodies her character. Simply stated, a place for people to gather and share great coffee and tea in an environment that is uplifting, welcoming, and kind. We don’t have a mission or a vision but a way of “being”. We are crazy about coffee and tea…everything about coffee and tea; how it’s grown, where its grown, how it is bought, roasted, blended, and enjoyed but most of all we are passionate about how it is shared. We feature a traditional espresso bar and a single cup brew bar. One of our unique features is our tap wall with 8 types of cold-brew coffee and tea offerings including nitro-coffee and nitro-tea. Our retail area houses an extensive collection of unique coffee and tea. We feature relatively unknown micro-roasters and micro-tea producers from around the world. Each roaster and producer has a story of their own that embraces our “kind” theme. And there’s entertainment…but not what you think. We have a literal social media wall where you can post photos and comments, a “kind” wall filled with quotes and you can add your own favorite, and be warned, we break out into impromptu games where all are required to participate. We invite you to experience Bondadoso Coffee & Tea Collective. We promise a great experience.

Maybe it was the state of mind I was in (an emotional hangover as I call it) but it was like this place just came out of the blue in perfect timing. I dropped my car off and was about to Uber to a coffee shop because when I searched for "cafe" in google maps this didn't come up. I turned around (was literally in front of it and had no clue) and saw it and walked in. First off, the staff are just nice. The WiFi is "bekindtoday" and the entire motto of the place is love and kindness. There's a wall of quotes about love and kindness - and hadn't it been packed, I would have just cried. Reading all the quotes, all at once, overwhelms you. It's so good, so true, and such a good reminder that we need to be rooted in love. I came in for coffee and got my heart changed in the meantime. Ps, the coffee is delicious. God is good (via Yelp)
I stopped by here for about an hour while I got new tires nearby. It's a nice cozy little coffee shop with lots of different coffee options. They have a couple of brewed pots, but I would recommend getting a pour over so it's extra fresh, and you can choose any type of coffee they stock! (via Yelp)
This lovely little coffee shop is tucked away in a quiet spot of Walnut Creek which I love - no worrying about traffic or parking and it is right around the corner from home for me. I was excited to see that they opened so I stopped by and ordered a large pour over and my husband got a regular americano. We chatted with Ron, the owner, as my pour over was prepared. He definitely knows his stuff when it comes to coffee and recommended a variety based on what I usually drink. It was superb! Hearing a bit about Ron's background and the reason behind the the "kind" theme (it's a dedication to his late sister which is incredibly touching) made me fall in love with this place even more. Bonus points for carrying coffees that also have a kind factor of giving back in some way. It makes drinking a cup here even more enjoyable! Can't wait to make this my regular coffee spot! (via Yelp)
Happy to find this place. Visiting family from out of town and the bro wanted to check out this new cafe. Love the bright, trendy and personable interior with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Brother was pleased with the coffee and I with the teas. Will come back again when I'm in the area. Owner was very kind and seemed like a genuine person. Love the concept! (via Yelp)
I'd like to thank the coffee gods for blessing us Ron and his wonderful staff! It's my second visit to this cute little shop and I threw Starbucks into the trash because I have decided to make Bondadoso MY go-to! Very convenient along with other small businesses and dealerships in the area ;-) we don't have to get into our cars and drive anymore! I love the interior; very rustic and cute, even providing an assortment of books and board games for guests! And don't get me started on their drinks....they're ridiculously good. Way better than the average Starbucks coffee drinks. Not too sweet, not too strong, but perfect. Anything you want, they've got you covered! It's time to put money into small businesses rather than corporate snakes! (via Yelp)
This is my new morning coffee shop. Vince and Lexie take care of me and remember I'm a vanilla latte gal. Drinks are delicious every time and the ambience is hip and cozy. (via Google)
